Loudovikos
Kostas Loudovikos by painting, iconographing, talking, writing and teaching he converses with and recalls people, artists and creations that give form to the specific and innumerable tracks of the least and greatest wondrousness .
He seeks out both the living creative body and logos of the different kind of the present-day poetics, this non-built (aktiston) living spark which glows and sparkles throughout the enigmatic crossings of what we are and are fully aware of towards what we are not and consequently are not aware of.
In the process of painting Loudovikos does not only pursue a way to configurate the conjectural cultural framework of our days but mostly the living “animal” (according to Aristotle’s terminology) of the creation and its mystery, which forms the hardly approachable and illegible center of the conjectural person and of the creative logos of the current civilizations.

When the works of art into their own production, the artists into their own creations and the interpretations into their faith and infidelity, then in what kind of atmosphere is art released?

Painting icons means while being still, my mind runs and speeds up reaching the whole “byzantine”, ecclesiastic painting and iconographic history.

The drawings are the laconic part of my artistic activity. It traces the past, smells the future contains and describes the present. But mainly it guards the body of prophecy.
